- Day 1
You will be met at Entebbe International Airport where your Safari starts by our representative who will warmly welcome you and brief you about your stay in the Pearl of Africa. You will then transfer southwards to Queen Elizabeth National Park. After lunch, you enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel that joins the lakes Edward and George. The 2-hour boat cruise gives you an opportunity to spot a lot of bird species, Elephants cooling off, Crocodiles, and Buffaloes among others.
- Day 2
The day begins early, with an extraordinary adventure to explore Queen Elizabeth National Park. The tour guide reveals the secrets of the savannah during an exhilarating game drive, introducing guests to the remarkable wildlife of the area, including elephants, lions, buffaloes, and antelopes. In the afternoon, the journey continues to the majestic Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, one of the last homes of the mountain gorillas. The guide shares details about the park’s flora and fauna and provides insights into the conservation of these extraordinary primates.
- Day 3
After an early breakfast, move into the forest and start trekking the mountain gorillas. Coming face to face with the largest primates is a memorable adventurous experience that can never be forgotten. Gorilla Habituation in Bwindi involves trekking up steep muddy and densely forested slopes so it may require some level of fitness. – the only forest in Africa that can make this claim. It also hosts five other species of primate, 113 species of mammal, over 200 butterflies, and 360 birds. The gorillas you trek to belong to one of nine habituated family groups that can tolerate the presence of humans for a brief period every day. The time taken to trek the gorillas can be as few as 3 hours to as many as 7 hours. Once the gorillas have been located, your group will be allowed a maximum of 4 hours with them. Coming face-to-face with a mountain gorilla is a truly humbling and emotional experience. Return to the lodge where you will enjoy dinner with your fellow travelers before getting a good night’s rest for tomorrow’s safari adventure. Don’t forget to carry your rain gear, packed lunch, plenty of water, gloves, hat, and waterproof bag for protection of your camera in case of rain.
- Day 4
On the final day of the journey, the tour guide accompanies guests on their return journey to Entebbe Airport. During the journey, they offer a final opportunity to discuss and reflect on the unforgettable experience in Queen Elizabeth National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. They assist guests with the logistical details of their return journey and ensure they have all the necessary documents. Before saying goodbye, the guide shares additional stories and suggestions for exploring more of Uganda’s wonders in the future.
